With their technologically innovative design, BLADE 1÷3 series compressors are a guarantee of quality, efficiency and reliability. Models are available with power from 1.5 to 3 kW, on bases or on 90 and 200 litre receivers. All BLADE series compressors have a pressure switch for Start-Stop operation. BLADE 1÷3 compressor series to achieve maximum energy saving is operated in the “Automatic” mode. During operation compressor delivers air within a pre-set maximum/minimum pressure range. When reaching the maximum pressure intake valve closes and compressor stops. When line pressure decreases and reaches minimum set value compressor starts again and delivers air instantly. Mattei has always produced compressors in which electric motor turns at a speed of only 1,500 rpm and is directly coupled to the compression unit by means of a flexible joint. Electric motor is directly coupled to air-end, allowing great advantages in overall efficiency of compressed air unit, meaning less kW per m3 /min.

Design and operation of BLADE 4÷11 compressors ensures correct operating temperature is quickly and effectively reached. This is important in order to extend operating life by preventing condensation from forming in the system. Mattei’s design of the BLADE compressor makes preventive maintenance operations simple and quick. Motor to compressor transmission is achieved through dual high efficiency “V” belts, tension of which is ensured by a sliding belt tensioner. This feature reduces belt wear to a minimum, extending its operating life and simplifying maintenance. Compressor maintenance is further assisted by specific service kits specifically designed to speed up the process. When maximum pressure is reached, compressor is placed “under vacuum” and decompressed to reduce usage of energy and intake valve closes. Number of stops and subsequent starts is therefore reduced, which helps increase lifespan of compressor and its electric motor.

Mattei’s very efficient and integrated multi stage oil/air separation system means exceptionally low lubricant consumption and a residual oil carryover of just 3 mg/m3 . Large filter element and quality of materials used guarantee a long working lifespan.

MATTEI INVERTER REGULATION SYSTEM
Blade 8-12 i operates within a range of pre-set maximum and minimum pressures. When reaching maximum pressure, at minimum rotational speed shut down of intake valve occurs, compressor is set to “off load” and decompressed to 1.5 bar, to reduce further energy usage. When line pressure lowers to minimum pre-set value it is reset to “on load” condition and starts delivering air instantly, adapting rotational speed to air demand.

BLADE compressor range is available in silenced BLADE/BLADE i, BLADE Plus (with dryer kit) and BLADE R (with heat recovery kit) versions with operating pressures from 8 to 13 bar and from 7 to 10 bar (for BLADE i version) and they feature automatic control of airflow at constant pressure. Rotary vane compressors are inherently more efficient than any other air compression system due to their construction technology. No leaks, no periodical replacement of thrust-bearings and no air-end replacement are just some of the advantages a vane compressor provides. RVXi compressors have an innovative oil injection system and the air-end geometries are such that maximum operating efficiencies can be achieved.

The RVX 55-90i range is equipped with IE3 or IE4 classified, energy-efficiency motors. In combination with compressor managed by an inverter, energy savings in excess of 30% can be attained and as such, when fitted with an IE4 motor they achieve an efficiency class for the package similar to IE5. Built without use of magnets, motors exhibit low environmental impact whilst incorporating robust construction features – suitable for working at high
