Mattei builds its industrial range around oil-lubricated rotary vane technology, with a focus on long service life, smooth operation and efficient air production.
WMC is an authorised Mattei distributor and service provider. We select the model around your airflow, pressure and production pattern, then support the installation throughout its working life.
A single rotor with sliding vanes
The rotor turns inside an offset cylindrical chamber. Sliding vanes form spaces that reduce in volume to compress the air; an oil film provides lubrication, cooling and sealing.
Low-speed industrial design
Mattei’s range includes low-speed, direct-drive machines and compact belt-driven models. The drive arrangement, operating speed and control system depend on the range.
Built for long-term ownership
Correct servicing, genuine parts and suitable lubricants are central to maintaining reliability and performance. Eligible machines can benefit from extended manufacturer warranty cover.

1.5–3 kW • Compact direct drive
BLADE 1–2–3
For smaller workshops and modest production air requirements. The compact BLADE range uses direct-coupled vane technology; receiver-mounted versions and single-phase options on selected models help accommodate different premises.
4–11 kW • Belt-driven packages
BLADE 4–5–7–11
For workshops, automotive businesses and smaller manufacturers. Choose a standalone machine, an S version on a receiver, or an SE package with receiver and refrigerated dryer, depending on the selected model.
7.5–22 kW • Fixed-speed direct drive
BLADE 8–12 / 15–22
Industrial vane compressors with 1:1 motor-to-airend coupling. The BLADE 8–12 family covers 7.5 and 11 kW; BLADE 15–22 adds 15, 18.5 and 22 kW options for larger production demands.
7.5–22 kW • Variable speed
BLADE i
Inverter-controlled BLADE models adjust motor speed and air output within their regulation range. A useful option to assess where consumption changes across the shift, with integrated-dryer configurations available on selected models.
30–55 kW • Industrial direct drive
RVD & RVDi
Fixed-speed RVD and variable-speed RVDi extend the vane range into larger factory systems. Direct coupling, substantial cooling and Maestro control support production applications with greater airflow demand.
55–110 kW • Larger production systems
RVX & RVXi
The RVX families combine rotary vane engineering with Mattei’s Xtreme injection technology. Fixed- and variable-speed families are available for different production profiles; we compare the exact model at your operating pressure.
Mattei also offers MAXIMA fixed-speed and OPTIMA variable-speed compressors for larger industrial requirements. We can assess these alongside the wider range for your project.

Mattei MyCare extended warranty
Mattei’s UK MyCare 6 programme offers extended warranty protection on eligible compressors at no additional warranty charge, subject to its terms and maintenance requirements.
Mattei also advertises ten-year, unlimited-operating-hour cover on eligible industrial airends. This applies to the compression unit, rather than the complete machine.
WMC confirms the applicable programme, covered components, exclusions and registration requirements in your quotation. Scheduled servicing and consumables remain chargeable.

Cover varies by model and programme. Ten-year airend protection does not mean ten-year cover on motors, controls, dryers or the whole package.
Commissioning and registration

Authorised maintenance
Follow the model’s service schedule, including calendar limits and running hours, with work carried out through the authorised service network.
Genuine parts and lubricant
Use the specified Mattei parts and lubricants and retain the service records needed to support continued cover.

BLADE SE combines a rotary vane compressor, air receiver and refrigerated dryer for a compact workshop or production installation.

What is different about a Mattei rotary vane compressor?
It uses a single rotor with sliding vanes to create compression chambers. Lubricant provides cooling, lubrication and sealing. Mattei offers both belt-driven and direct-drive models, with fixed- or variable-speed control depending on the range.
What do S, SE, Plus and i mean?
On the BLADE packages shown here, S identifies a receiver-mounted version and SE adds a refrigerated dryer. Plus versions in relevant direct-drive ranges include integrated drying; i identifies variable-speed models. We confirm the exact configuration in the quotation.
What warranty can I get on a Mattei compressor?
